  I take my friends to Wales for the weekend, somewhere I've not explored myself, for a whistlestop tour of towns and castles.

  

• Adventure Week 8: Beamish Cows

  26th February 2023

  A walk from home along the C2C cycle route to visit some of its unique artwork turned into a long trip out for Sunday lunch.

  

• Adventure Week 7: Glen Etive

  25th February 2023

  A transformative week-long holiday staying in Glen Etive, one road away from Glen Coe, offered ample opportunities for relaxation and exploration.

  

• Adventure Week 6: Loweswater Wainwrights

  11th February 2023

  Back-to-back days in the Lake District see me ticking off six more Wainwrights on both sides of Loweswater.

  

• Adventure Week 5: Middle Fell, Seatallan, Buckbarrow

  9th February 2023

  Finally resolving to bag as many Lake District "Wainwrights" as possible, I started the hiking endeavour at my favourite parts of the lakes, Wast Water. From here I would spend the day summiting three.

  

• Adventure Week 4: Steam at Shap Summit

  To close out January, I continued my streak of steam trainspotting, this time at Shap Summit on the West Coast Main Line.

  

• Adventure Week 3: Steam at Blea Moor

  22nd January 2023

  Following a successful foray last week to Ribblehead Viaduct and the Settle-Carlisle line, I returned to capture a steam locomotive traversing the snowy Yorkshire Dales.

  17th January 2023

  My first hike of the year takes me to the Yorkshire Dales for an explore of Ribblehead Viaduct and Whernside overlooking it, wrapped in unexpected overnight snow.

  In true winter style, my January holiday takes Sophie and I to one of the snowiest parts of the UK: Cairngorms National Park. There'd be no shortage of snow-capped mountains, lochs, and even reindeer!
